Oh Cozy Home (ohcozyday.com) is run by Francesca. This policy explains what personal information the site collects and how it’s used. Questions: hello@ohcozyday.com.
What we collect
- Messages. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply.
- Comments. Your name, email address (never shown publicly) and comment, plus your IP address for spam filtering, which runs on our own server.
- Email list. If you subscribe, your email address and optional first name, stored with our email provider, Kit. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Analytics. Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location, device and how you found us. It doesn’t store IP addresses.
- Technical data. Our host (PikaPods) and our security and delivery service (Cloudflare) process IP addresses to serve pages and block attacks.
Cookies
- Essential: Cloudflare security cookies, and a cookie that remembers your cookie choice.
- Comments: only if you tick “Save my name and email.”
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies, kept for up to 14 months. Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland are asked first and can change their choice at any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Advertising and affiliate links
We don’t show ads at the moment, and we’ll update this policy before we do. Some posts contain affiliate links, including Amazon links; the retailer may set its own cookies when you click. See Disclosures.
Sharing
We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising. It’s processed only by the service providers named above, plus Brevo, which delivers the site’s emails. Some of these providers are based in the United States.
How long we keep it
Messages: up to two years. Comments: while they’re published. Email list: until you unsubscribe. Analytics: 14 months. Site backups: up to four weeks.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@ohcozyday.com. We’ll reply within 30 days.
- UK, EEA and Switzerland: you can also object to or restrict how we use your information, and complain to your data protection authority. We rely on your consent for analytics cookies and emails, and on our legitimate interest in running the site for everything else.
- US states: you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your information (we do neither), and we honor Global Privacy Control signals. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
Children
The site is written for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
When this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top.
